Reports reaching us claim that the wife of outgoing Governor Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu, slapped Mrs Bianca Ojukwu at the inauguration of professor Chukwuma Soludo as the governor of Anambra State on Thursday.
The incident occurred shortly after Soludo took his oath of office, according to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent on the scene.
Mrs Obiano stepped in and slapped the widow of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, according to NAN.
Dignitaries, including Ex-Gov Obiano, were already seated when Mrs Obiano walked in and decided to move to the front row where the widow of Odumegwu, Bianca, was seated.
The incident grabbed the attention of security personnel and a few dignitaries, who yanked Mrs Obiano from Bianca's grip, who was visibly surprised.
Mrs Obiano was then taken away, and her husband departed the scene shortly after the new governor was inaugurated.
Many people on social media, especially Facebook and Instagram, have been speculating about some of the statements made by one of the Kannywood actresses that she is paid N2,000 to N5,000 every time she does it (movie).

The presidency has replied the Peoples Democratic Party after the opposition claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari's cancellation of his Zamfara trip indicates “mischief”.
While Governor Matawalle Bello said that the President cancelled his trip to the state last week over weather issues, the PDP claimed that Buhari cancelled the trip over the fear of being attacked, adding that the president could have travelled by road.
Reacting to the claim made by the opposition party, the presidency in a statement released by presidential aide Garba Shehu said criticism of Buhari by the PDP shows the party doesn’t understand presidential movements despite being in power for 16 years.
The statement read;
“As briefly explained by the president in a special broadcast to the people of the state, the sudden deterioration of the weather was the sole and only reason for the cancellation of the visit.
“It is not unusual for flights to get cancelled when there is bad weather, whether this is arising from wind or rainstorm, fog or haze as we had it on Thursday over much of the northern towns including Gusau, capital of Zamfara State.
“Many of these cities are known to suffer from low visibility during the harmattan season as we are now in.
“A kilometre of visibility is usually a standard landing minimum requirement but in the case of Gusau on the day in question, this minimum requirement of 1,000 meter was down, fluctuating between 300-400 meters.
“Clearly, this was unsafe in the absence of precise instrument approaches that provide guidance for the pilots. The flights into Gusau were, in view of this, cancelled.
“Criticism of the President, in particular the one by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for not proceeding with the journey, Sokoto-Gusau by road, a distance of about 200 kilometres shows, either a lack of understanding of presidential movements especially for a party that held that office for sixteen years, or an act that smacks of mischief. Whatever be the case, there must be a limit to trivialisation.
“All over the world, Commanders-in-Chief, serving or even those that have left office cannot hop into a car and go anywhere they want, at any time of the day. In the United States for instance, a law going as far back as 1958 prevents past Presidents from traveling on public roads without assured security (how much more of serving Presidents).
“When roads are closed for presidential movements here and elsewhere, consideration is also given to the safety of other road users, not just that of the President or even Governor.
“The statement on the issue by the PDP attacking the President for not making it to Gusau without this being planned ahead of the journey is shameful and disgraceful for a party that held the presidency of the country in the past. What is their own record?
“It is sad for the country that the bankruptcy of issues has forced the PDP, so-called leading opposition party, to hang on to life by only telling lies. And their caravan of falsehood has moved even more speedily following the inauguration of their not-so-new national executive at the end of last year.
“It is equally important that local political actors who have seized upon the cancellation of the visit to describe it as a victory for this or that faction of the party, accompanied by songs, lyrics and videos to know that their joy is a short lived one. As he promised in that broadcast, the visit to Gusau by the President is only a matter of time.
“Given the right conditions of the weather and all other things, he will return, and in time to accomplish his mission.”

Kannywood star Adam A. Zango has revealed his reasons for parting ways with young actress Ummi Rahab.
It is the result of reports circulating on social media that show a strained relationship between them.
In an interview with the BBC, the star said that all the rumors and speculations about the incident between him and the young woman, who he said was a "girl outside", were baseless and baseless.

A woman, whose husband is unemployed, has reportedly given birth to 10 babies in Pretoria, South Africa.
Before setting the new record, Gosiame Thamara Sithole, the woman, who is from Tembisa Township in Ekurhuleni of the Gauteng province of South Africa, had been delivered of a set of twins, who are now six years old.
Her husband Teboho Tsotetsi has been reported as saying that she was delivered of seven boys and three girls through Caesarean section 29 weeks into her pregnancy.
“It’s seven boys and three girls. She was seven months and seven days pregnant. I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much. Let’s talk again in the morning please,” The Pretoria News quoted him to have said.
Sithole’s husband said they were astonished by decuplets after scans only showed eight in the womb.
One South African official confirmed the births to the BBC, however another said they were yet to see the babies.
BBC quoted a family member, who did not want to be identified, as saying that Ms Sithole had had 10 babies – five via natural birth and 5 via caesarean section.
iol.co.za, a South African website, quoted Sithole as saying that two of the babies could not be detected initially because they were inside the wrong tube.
In an interview during the latter part of her pregnancy, she reportedly said the pregnancy period was tough.
“I am shocked by my pregnancy. It was tough at the beginning. I was sick. It was hard for me. It’s still tough but I am used to it now. I don’t feel the pain anymore, but it’s still a bit tough. I just pray for God to help me deliver all my children in a healthy condition, and for me and my children to come out alive. I would be pleased about it.
“How would they fit in the womb? Would they survive? What if they came out conjoined at the head, in the stomachs or hands? Like, what would happen? I asked myself all these questions until the doctor assured me that my womb was starting to expand inside. God made a miracle and my children stayed in the womb without any complications,” Sithole had said.
Her unemployed husband has decided to do away with fear and embrace the children.

“Meanwhile, I had another bad experience with a guy some years back. We were in a long-distance relationship but he came to Nigeria after a while. I had gone to see my mum in Ondo State and he was in Akure (the state capital) at the time. We spent some time together and when it was getting late, I asked him to drop me at the park. The actress who urged victims to speak out regardless of when the incident happened also said she wished she met her rapist before he died. She added, “When I told my rape story on social media, I found out that the guy had died. I was told he was killed during a robbery. I was hoping to meet him and I would have paid him back for what he did to me.
“I knew the identity of my rapist, so I told my family friend about it, who then informed me that he (rapist) had died. Another person also confirmed the story to me after I spoke out about the incident. I think my career also helped me to speak out because I could make a film out of it.”

South Africa's Department of Home Affairs has proposed a new law that will allow women marry more than one husband, in the same way that polygamous men are allowed to marry more than one wife.
The 67-page policy document also called Green Paper on Marriages, stated that the current marriage act does not promote equality.
The policy document highlighted that the current marriage legislation is discriminatory as it does not recognise Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Rastafarian marriages. The policy document also called for polyandry to be legally recognised as a form of marriage.
The Green Paper proposed three new marriage regimes to bring equality in marriage laws. One of these options is a gender-neutral marriage regime.
It read;
“This would accommodate both polygyny and polyandry
“…Therefore all marriages, whether monogamous or polygamous, could be concluded regardless of the sex or sexual orientation of the person."
South Africa’s Ministry of Home Affairs appears to favour the option for a gender-neutral marriage regime that allows both polyandry and polygyny. The Ministry wrote;
“The political appetite of the country to confront the challenges of the current marriage statute will be tested through these options. However, if Section 9 of the Constitution was to be implemented in its entirety, option 3 will tick all the boxes.”
The Ministry however noted that the option for polyandry has ruffled feathers and South Africa’s traditional leaders have vociferously opposed the proposal, claiming that a woman being married to more than one husband is an “unacceptable practise because it is not of African origin.”
It added;
“Ironically, stakeholders who believed in the practice of polygamy … were opposed to the practice of polyandry.
“This is the beginning of a crucial public discourse that will re-define the concept of marriage in South Africa.
“The process will unearth issues that may make some of us uncomfortable, but will encourage dialogue within the South African and international communities.”
South Africans have until the end of June to comment on the department’s proposals.
The Security Unit of The Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger state has arrested two students and one other for alleged burglary and theft.
Parading the suspects at the Administrative Block of the school on Tuesday, May 4, the Chief Security Officer, Alhaji Hussaini Mohammed, said that they were arrested following persistent cases of burglaries and theft on campus.
Alhaji Mohammed identified the suspects as David Abel, an ND II student of the Architectural Department and Mark Saidu, ND II, Urban and Regional Planning Department.
The third suspect, Adamu Ahmed, who operates at Panteka in Minna, often bought stolen properties from the students.
The suspects took the security personnel to different places they have burgled within the school.
Abel said his role was to move the stolen properties out of the school premises while Saidu conveyed them from Bida to Minna after every operation. Ahmed confessed to only buying the stolen items from the students.
Items recovered from the suspects included electronic appliances such as air-conditioning, plasma television, printers, home theater, industrial fans, and stabilizers.
The suspects have been handed over to police for prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Chief Security Officer warned criminals to stay away from the polytechnic, assuring that efforts are ongoing to arrest all those involved in criminal activities in the school.

The official demands contained in the letter addressed to the singer include a personal letter of apology to their client, as well as a public apology to her, to be published in two national dailies.
An elusive interview with Premium Times on Wednesday, however revealed that D’banj’s lawyers said his decision on the matter will determine how far they will take the legal battle.
“The ball is in Mr. Oyebanjo’s court. He can either decide to apologize and let the whole matter die down. He can continue to act as if he is not concerned about the situation and he can also fire back. Whichever stand he takes, our legal team is always ready to provide the necessary re-action to the action and to ensure that justice is done in the case.”
They also maintained that they will be settling the matter legally because they are not after “the social media or celebrity kind of justice.”
“However, we need to state that our client is not concerned about the media in the pursuit of her justice. All she wanted is to heal from her hurt and live the normal life she was living prior to the unfortunate event of December 31, 2018,” they reportedly said.
