Our pride destroyed our marriages

SOMETIMES IT'S NOT THE MAN'S FAULT AT ALL, IT'S YOUR PRIDE,AND THE PEOPLE YOU ALLOWED TO ADVISE YOU,SO BE WISE AND VIGILANT IN YOUR MARRIAGE.

*A DIVORCED SINGLE MOTHER WROTE*

I am writing to you in order to make someone understand that it's good to appreciate our partners despite their flaws.

I am 32 years of age. My ex husband and I dated for 6 years. We where best of friends.

I waited until he completed college and started work. My family and his family then met.

We got married and had a son. (7 years old now).

My husband was short tempered at times but our problems started when I wanted to make him feel he couldn't control me.

Every time we argued, I would pack my bags, go to my family and explain.

My sisters would phone my husband and shout at him.

If he was controlling me I would always dare him that if he wished, he could divorce me.

I never wanted divorce.

I just had pride and I never wanted to look like a loose woman in his eyes.

One day I pushed him so hard that for the first time he beat me and locked me outside.

I went to my family, my family took him to the police, every time I looked like I was being abused!

But to be honest, I used to abuse my husband emotionally.

He was arrested and detained.

I was asked by his family to withdraw the case.

I felt that what I was doing was wrong.

My husband was never a violent man, he did what he did because I pushed him to the wall of which he openly knelt down and apologized.

I withdrew the charge, and we reconciled.

After three months, I packed my bags after a small issue and he remained alone.

After two days, I

received a call that he was in the hospital.

My family told me that I shouldn't go there because it would look like I was begging him and my sisters believed he was feigning the illness.

All this time, people felt sorry for me like I was the one being abused.

He spent a week in the hospital, after he came out, I just received a divorce summon.

I wanted to say no to divorce, but because I felt this pride, I wanted him to change his mind and beg me.

I called him and said he would get the divorce because I lived like I was in hell.

When we went to court, I wanted to make him pay, so I told the court that I needed his properties to be shared.

To my surprise he openly told the court that whatever he and I acquired together should be given to me, all he wanted was divorce.

We were divorced in 2009 July.

Now, my husband is married, whilst l am here wasted!

My family members are gossiping about me.

I depend on what my ex husband gives to my son for survival.

I know I wasted my

marriage.

I am here telling all wives that they should be careful how they get advise.

Don't be cheated, don't entertain family interference in your marriage my dear reader.

Even my young sisters are much more respected than me.

Those who encouraged me to get divorced are always teasing and bad mouthing me.

Please ladies, be vigilant in your marriage.

Thought it wise to share my story to save your marriage.

There is no benefit in pride for nothing.

The faces of bandits are on my son, Governor El-Rufai lamented

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has emphasised on the reason why he withdrew his son, Abubakar Al-Sadiq El-Rufai, from Kaduna Capital school one year after he enrolled him in the school to attract public education in the state.

During his interview with BBC Pidgin, El-Rufia revealed that his son had been targeted by bandits who are planning to invade the school because of his public stand against the payment of ransom to bandits.

He also added that his two children has been withdrawn from the school so not to expose the lives of other children in the school to bandits.

In his words, he said:

“My son and my daughter are registered in the school because his sister became six and we had to register her.”

“But we have had to temporarily withdraw them for the security of the school because we got intercepts from at least two groups that are planning to attack the school to kidnap my son.”

“I don’t think they will succeed because there will be enough security there to prevent it but other children may be placed in danger.”

“We have no idea what weapons they will come with. I have taken a stand against paying bandits and at least three groups of bandits have been intercepted planning to go to Kaduna Capital school and kidnap my son and ‘see if they catch my son, I go say I no go pay ransom?’”

“We believe in leading by example, we believe in whatever policy we propose that will affect people negatively, we start imposing it on us.”

“It is my intention that my children will be in public school as long as I am governor here.”

“Of course, when I finish my term, I will move out. I intend to leave Kaduna when I finish. I am not going to stay here. I may explore other options of putting them in other schools”

Woman's double face

YOUR GIRLFRIEND OR WIFE IS AN ANGEL AND A DEVIL

I strongly believe that every girl has two sides; a good side that brings out the sweet angel in her and the dark side that reveals the horned Devil in her. Your girlfriends and wives are no exception to this rule. The things you say or do to her determines which of these two creatures she permanently becomes. Therefore, guys, please choose wisely.

Wife of unemployed man gives Bbirth to 10 babies in South Africa

A woman, whose husband is unemployed, has reportedly given birth to 10 babies in Pretoria, South Africa.

Before setting the new record, Gosiame Thamara Sithole, the woman, who is from Tembisa Township in Ekurhuleni of the Gauteng province of South Africa, had been delivered of a set of twins, who are now six years old.

Her husband Teboho Tsotetsi has been reported as saying that she was delivered of seven boys and three girls through Caesarean section 29 weeks into her pregnancy.

“It’s seven boys and three girls. She was seven months and seven days pregnant. I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much. Let’s talk again in the morning please,” The Pretoria News quoted him to have said.

Sithole’s husband said they were astonished by decuplets after scans only showed eight in the womb.

One South African official confirmed the births to the BBC, however another said they were yet to see the babies.

BBC quoted a family member, who did not want to be identified, as saying that Ms Sithole had had 10 babies – five via natural birth and 5 via caesarean section.

iol.co.za, a South African website, quoted Sithole as saying that two of the babies could not be detected initially because they were inside the wrong tube.

In an interview during the latter part of her pregnancy, she reportedly said the pregnancy period was tough.

“I am shocked by my pregnancy. It was tough at the beginning. I was sick. It was hard for me. It’s still tough but I am used to it now. I don’t feel the pain anymore, but it’s still a bit tough. I just pray for God to help me deliver all my children in a healthy condition, and for me and my children to come out alive. I would be pleased about it.

“How would they fit in the womb? Would they survive? What if they came out conjoined at the head, in the stomachs or hands? Like, what would happen? I asked myself all these questions until the doctor assured me that my womb was starting to expand inside. God made a miracle and my children stayed in the womb without any complications,” Sithole had said.

Her unemployed husband has decided to do away with fear and embrace the children.

A woman who had eight babies in the US in 2009 currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most children delivered at a single birth to survive.

Last month, 25-year-old Halima Cissé from Mali gave birth to nine babies, who are reportedly doing well at a clinic in Morocco.

Multiple births involving more than three babies are rare and often the result of fertility treatments – but in this case the couple say they conceived naturally.
