JOB DETAILS:

  • Lead the production of agro-chemical products in compliance with world class standards – instilling a culture that exhibits continuous improvement regarding Safety, Quality and Cost Delivery.
  • Organize agrochemical programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the agrochemical plant and the organization.
  • Develop a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Analyze program risks and work on strategy to market the product.

Reporting Line:

This position reports to Head, Partnerships.


Requirements

Profound know-how in chemical assembly processes and production technologies:

  • Leadership experience in project coordination, agro-chemical production, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Operational and Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in collaborating with contractors, and partners
  • Expertise in agro-resource management (inventories, planning and project implementation) and invasive species management (planning, identification and control).
  • Ability to mentor, manage and supervise employees and interns.
  • Experience in and ability to perform field work.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access) and managing geographic databases.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision – independently and as part of a team.


Work Experience: 4-5 years.

Job Description


Deputy Director-Programs under the direct supervision of the AHNi MD, the Deputy Director- Programs provides management oversight for the SIDHAS project as well as ensures compliance with all donor and the Prime (USAID / FHI360) on the project requirements, coordinates program development, work planning, budgeting, implementation and project monitoring and evaluation.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health or other relevant field with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management.
  • Sound knowledge of HIV / AIDS programs; experience in working with local partners, including host Governments, NGOs andCBOs; knowledge of the Nigerian local context is an asset, as well as familiarity with USAID and PEPFAR programs.

The Librarian is a Principal Officer of the College.

He is responsible to the Rector for the day to day administration, coordination and control of the Library of the institution.

Qualifications and Experience

The prospective candidate must:

  • Possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized institution of Higher learning plus membership of relevant professional body with at least 18 years post qualification cognate experience. Possession of a higher degree will be an added advantage.


Publication in reputable journal is mandatory

Candidates must be very proficient in Digital and Automated Library systems and contemporary applications deployment as well as web literacy and Digital Information management.

Have occupied the position of a Chief Librarian for a period of not less than 3 years in an institution of higher learning.

Should not be more than 60 years of age by 1st October, 2020.

Enjoy excellent physical and mental health with evidence from a government Hospital.


Qualities:

  • The librarian must be a person of proven integrity.
  • He must be intellectually and professionally sound and knowledgeable in the rules and regulations of the polytechnic system.
  • Also, he must be versed in the Public Service Rules and Regulations.
  • He must be able to assist the Rector and the Governing council in formulating sound Library policies.


Tenure of Appointment


The appointment will be for a single tenure of 5 years only.
